          Chang Bang peak is situated in the Nandadevi Biosphere Reserve and opens for expeditions and trekking. It is easy to approach. The base camp is Upper Bagni Glacier at a height of 4490 m from sea level. The route has been mentioned above. An entry permit is required from Nanda Devi National Park after remitting requisite fee and documents. Mule/Pony is available.

 Uttarakhand literally means the northern part of India.  When this state was created in 2000, it was called Uttaranchal. However, subsequently its old name Uttarakhand prevailed.  It is also known as the Abode of the Gods (Dev Bhumi). The two main regions of this state are Garhwal Division and Kumaon Division. Uttarakhand contains the real essence of life; traditions, spirituality, and divinity. These make this part of India the perfect platform to experience consciousness in this materialistic world. 

Geographically, Uttarakhand lies between 28o-47’ to 31o-20’- North Latitudes, 77 0-35’ to 80055’ East Longitudes. Himachal Pradesh and Tibet surround the state in the north, Nepal in the east, and Uttar Pradesh in the south-west.

    Garhwal is bordered on the north by Tibet, on the east by Kumaon, on the south by Bijnor and on the west by Himachal Pradesh. Geographically, Garhwal lies between the latitudes 29-26-31-28 N and longitudes 79-49-80-6 E. The altitude rises from 303 m in the south to 7816 m in the north.
